This wine is 100% from our Los Alamos estate and is a combination of clones 76, 95 and 96. The fruit was harvested by hand then gently whole-cluster pressed, cold settled overnight and transferred by gravity to barrel for fermentation in 20% new French (Damy) oak with only partial malolactic (±10%). 15.0% alcohol.
Tasting Notes:
Yellow-green gold in color, this chardonnay exudes fascinating yellow, white and green aromatics of cherimoya, cactus, cassava, lime skin, yellow plum, yellow raspberry, jicama, chalk, gardenia and plantains. Other ethereal nuances drift towards agave, salt, quartz, granite, sage, anise, honey and walnut. The wine is crisp and driven on the palate finishing with a graceful weight and abundant texture.
